The 12th PANI (Publicity Association of Northern Ireland) awards were recently launched in the Titanic Pumphouse, with representatives from Northern Ireland agencies, press, outdoor, digital and broadcast media gathered to hear the new, invigorated format for the 12th awards.
From the 1st November, the PANI website will be open for submissions (www.paniawards.com), allowing creative agencies in Northern Ireland the chance to put forward some of their best work for scrutiny in 14 different categories. The awards are open to all PANI members who are involved in advertising and communication. Entrants will be judged on their creative approach and execution of the campaign. The awards night, which will take place on the 20th April next year, will be one of the first to take place in the Titanic Signature Project.
Speaking at the launch, Hugh Black, Awards Committee Chair, suggested that the awards would celebrate those who had continued to produce work showing real ‘creativity, ingenuity and effort’ despite the squeeze put on advertising spending.
PANI, which was established in 1958, is one of the UK’s oldest marketing and communication associations. Bringing together members of the creative, media, marketing and production communities, it strives to improve the quality of, and buzz around, the publicity industry in Northern Ireland. Sponsors of this year’s award include; Belfast Telegraph (press and digital), CBS Outdoor, Clear Channel Northern Ireland, Downtown/Cool FM, Citybeat, JCDecaux, The Irish News, The Mirror Group, Property Pal, UTV and U105.
