14 of Ireland’s most creative young stars will compete on an international stage this June against teams from all over the world in the film, print, PR, digital, design, media and marketing disciplines.
Tony O’Flanagan, Marketing Director JCDecaux Ireland said “we are thrilled to be a sponsor of the Cannes Young Lions this year, in particular the Design category. Design is crucial to the success of any Outdoor campaign and initiatives like this help to reinforce the importance of considered and clever design when it comes to planning an Outdoor campaign. The winning entry ticks a lot of boxes in terms of fulfilling the brief given by the client - Fairtrade, and also in terms of the attention Dylan and Ryan gave to designing for the specific Outdoor formats. The standard of entries was very high overall, so congratulations on a well-deserved win and we wish them the best of luck over in Cannes”.
Speaking on the announcement Charley Stoney, CEO IAPI said “this is the 6th year of the Cannes Young Lions Competition in Ireland and yet again, we’ve been bowled over by the incredible creativity from our young talent. Submissions were turned around in a very short space of time to familiarize our entrants with the competition process on the ground in Cannes and it’s safe to say the future of the Irish creative industry is safe in the hands of our young talent. This year’s charity partners are set to benefit from some amazing campaigns and we’re confident that these best in class campaigns will deliver significant results for them”.
