Sky Ireland has released research on consumer digital consumption and Ireland's 'digital diet'. Online activity peaks on the daily commute and while relaxing at home.
Their research shows that 81.8% of respondents use their tablet or smartphone while on the Luas, bus or train with 49.4% checking their social media sites up to three times.
Coupled with this research, TGI tells us that 60% of regular Luas commuters often refer to the internet before making a purchase, an increase of 25% on 2011. One in three regular Luas commuters couldn't live without internet access on their mobile phone.
Online and out of home are becoming perfect partners as media consumption trends evolve.
