The famous Molly Malone statue was recently moved to a temporary location on Suffolk Street, outside the Dublin Tourism Office, facilitating Luas Cross City works taking place at the bottom of Grafton Street. It is expected that Molly will reside here until 2017.

During this time Molly will be standing right beside the JCDecaux Metropanel on Suffolk Street, providing advertisers with an opportunity to reach throngs of tourists who will stop and visit both the statue and the Dublin Tourism Office on a daily basis.

JCDecaux Metropanels were hand-picked to be in the busiest footfall areas on shopping streets throughout Dublin, reaching Dubliners and visitors to the city who are in an active frame of mind.

Here’s some top-line information about JCDecaux Metropanels:

  • Metropanels are one of the top performing formats in Dublin for JNOR audience delivery, with an average audience contact of 80,000 per week.
  • Footfall in Dublin city centre locations increases significantly during the summer months and again for the Christmas period.
  • Tourist numbers have been increasing year-on-year with Quarter 1 2014 up 7.3% on 2013.

Most recently, clients such as Croke Park, Kildare Village, Belfast Visitor & Convention Bureau, Bel Cibo and MCD have all enticed city dwellers and visitors to explore, shop, travel, eat, drink and be entertained using JCDecaux Metropanels.
