THE NETHERLANDS

Concept: Showcase

It was possible to catch a glimpse of the New Samsung Galaxy S6 edge encased within JCDecaux showcase panels at 15 locations spread over Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht recently. The phone was not continuously visible so members of the public had to press a button for an exclusive sneak preview of the sharp picture quality of the 5.1 "Quad HD Super AMOLED screen. This special was the result of a collaboration between Samsung, Cheel, Starcom, VivaKi Exchange and JCDecaux.

 

AUSTRALIA

Concept: Interactive Digital combined with refrigerated dispensers

Coca-Cola wanted to drive the knowledge and popularity of their brand in an increasingly hard to reach youth market. To engage this audience and get them talking, new 250ml size cans in 5 new colours were brought out alongside the traditional red. Through social media and the use of the #ColourYourSummer hashtag, the changes to the brand were shared and drove momentum behind the word of mouth, digital and the Outdoor campaign.

As part of this campaign UM, Coca-Cola and JCDecaux teamed up to create a first in Australian OOH - linking a digital screen with a refrigerated dispenser in 11 units across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for a total of 6 weeks. Machines were limited to dispense once every 10 minutes and 23,606 cans were distributed in total. Passers-by would rearrange the cans on screen to unlock a chilled Coke. JCDecaux Australia and Coca-Cola won the award for ‘Best Use of a Special Build’ as part of the Outdoor Media Association’s (OMA) Q4 Creative Collection Competition and this execution was subsequently rolled out in New Zealand.

Concept: Augmented Reality Experience at London Waterloo Station

The recently launched, third-generation ŠKODA Fabia, named What Car? Car of the Year 2015, uses innovative design and features especially designed to make life easier. For one week in February 2015, more than two million commuters in London’s Waterloo Station had the opportunity to customise their very own ŠKODA Fabia to reflect their individual personalities. Once they selected their ŠKODA Fabia design, they then sat in front of a green screen on the train station’s concourse and were able to see themselves in their personalised Fabia on the Motion@Waterloo digital screen. With a choice of 14 colours, three colour concepts and five interior combinations, there was a total of nearly 100 ŠKODA Fabia designs to choose from.

Sneakers by Converse are legendary. Chuck Taylor All Star Converse have their own, personal history along with their wearers. They are a part of them, whether they are painted, dirty or tatty. Musicians, artists and fans are in love with these shoes. WallDecaux Premium Outdoor drew attention to personal Converse stories in the heart of Berlin with 16 mobile and illuminated mupis showing posters of Chuck Taylor All Star in an Open Air Gallery.
