Mashable.com this week selected a list of top 10 interactive billboard campaigns from around the world, of which 5 were JCDecaux Innovate campaigns.

Honda’s interactive campaign that ran in 2008 on JCDecaux’s platinum square in Dublin came 3rd in the list. Planned by GT Media in conjunction with JCDecaux Innovate, Puca and Eclipse Media, this text activated special build incorporated lighting, sound, smoke and bluetooth to fully engage passers by over the course of 2 cycles. The campaign was a total first for large format in Ireland and won Best Innovation at the 2010 Outdoor Advertising Awards.
Mashable’s selection includes a variety of Outdoor innovation from around the world, such as visual sensors that changed the colour of the advertising display for IBM in the USA, touchscreens that showed real-time local information for Yell in the UK, and a sonic measurement device for a Skunk Anansie gig in the Netherlands. All examples of great Outdoor innovation that engaged the audience and added extra impact and standout for the client.
