We are always impressed with new innovation opportunities from around the world, and this campaign from McDonalds and JCDecaux in Paris is a fabulous example of how experiential marketing can connect the public with a brand.
On February 24th at La Defense business district, a 5 meter high cubed structure equipped with a digital screen was erected for one day. The campaign entitled ‘Come As You are’ attracted a wide range of intruiged participants of all ages.
One of the sides of the giant cube had a photo booth connected to the screen where the public got their pictures taken. Participants had the surprise of instantly seeing their face appear on the digital poster. Another side of the cube had the ‘paper’ version of the ad which was changed every 15 minutes with alternative faces of the public. Participants were also given an A2 print version of their photo to take home. Nearly three hundred people were photographed throughout the day.
