JCDecaux is committed to sustainable development and one of our latest initiatives is the inclusion of a fully electric vehicle in our fleet.
You will now be able to see the new Renault Kangoo ZE maxi driving around Dublin city, stopping at dublinbikes stations and the city’s Wayfinding signage network. This is a 100% electric vehicle, with zero pollutant emissions and a completely silent engine. It is charged overnight at the JCDecaux Technical Centre on the Naas Road.
Nick Roberts, Operations Director at JCDecaux Ireland said “We are delighted that electric vehicle technology has now advanced to the stage of offering commercially available electric vehicles in Ireland. The introduction of a fully electric vehicle in our fleet is yet another step we have taken to reduce our carbon footprint and reinforce our position as one of the leading media owners in Ireland for sustainability. The on-going development of our ISO14001 accredited environmental management system serves as an example of our philosophy and commitment to protecting the environment.”
