The month of May means one thing, summer is approaching. For many, attention is now focused on upcoming events and the need to update the summer wardrobe. Demand is high for retailers to supply the latest on-trend clothing to the everyday image conscious consumer. Considering 80% of women who really enjoy clothes shopping have seen an outdoor ad in the past week, outdoor is an ideal way to reach this audience.
To take advantage of this, popular high street department stores Debenhams and House of Fraser both opted for bright, vibrant outdoor campaigns this cycle (23rd April – 6th May), across various formats in key locations. Debenhams’ campaign ran on Première, 48 sheets and Platinum Squares while House of Fraser’s campaign ran on Première 48 and 96 sheets, rail 6 sheets, digital and billboards.
Debenhams’ campaign was booked with JCDecaux by media agency Carat and outdoor specialist PML NI. The creative was looked after inhouse by Debenhams UK.
House of Fraser’s campaign was booked with JCDecaux by media agency Goodstuff Communications and outdoor specialist Kinetic. Goodstuff Communications were also responsible for the creative.
