JCDecaux are delighted to announce that we will be working with three nominated charities in Ireland for 2016/17: Alone, Barnardos and the Irish Cancer Society

JCDecaux will be donating €1.75 million worth of outdoor media space over a 2 year period to support each charity in their efforts to raise awareness and drive fundraising.

Seán Moynihan, Chief Executive of Alone said “with JCDecaux’s support we will have an effective platform to raise awareness and create debate on the issues facing older people.  Not only will we be able to reach older people to encourage them to contact us for support, we can also communicate with and attract a new generation of volunteers and support from all corners of the country as well as highlight relevant policy issues.”

Commenting on the partnership Fergus Finlay, Chief Executive of Barnardos, said “Barnardos are delighted to be one of JCDecaux’s nominated charities this year. The support we receive from them is invaluable in helping us raise both awareness of our work and funds to support the work directly. JCDecaux have been tremendous partners and supporters of Barnardos over the years and we look forward to continuing that relationship in 2016/17”.

John McCormack, CEO of the Irish Cancer Society said “We cannot continue with our important work without the support of the business community. The impact of our work is vital and especially now as cancer incidences are on the increase. It is essential for us to let as many people as possible know about the Society and the free services that we provide, and also how members of the public can support us in this work. Our partnership with JCDecaux will allow us to do this in a very visible way”.

Tony O’Flanagan, Marketing Director of JCDecaux said, ‘we are committed to supporting those in the community who need it most.   Our nominated charities for 2016/17 are all very worthy causes and we look forward to working closely with them during the course of the year.’
