The extensive campaign ran on many different JCDecaux formats including Digishelters, iVisions, Digipanels, Digipoles, Luas Columns and a Luas Shelter Wrap.
Universal Pictures wins June 2022 'Campaign of the Month'
The objective of this extensive campaign was to promote one of the biggest global animated franchises in history.
“With increased pressure on opening weekends for box office movies, we required a clever planning approach for Minions: The Rise of Gru that not only drove awareness but also last-minute decision-making. Working alongside media agency Mediacom, we built an integrated campaign that ensured connection at all touchpoints.
The multi-environment campaign included several elements – street/roadside digital and transport formats drove awareness. Retail digital in shopping centres and in close proximity to cinemas ensured consideration at the point of purchase. Finally, LUAS formats ensured that we reached the commuter audience and capitalised on dwell time while travelling”said Chris Murray and Susan Murtagh, account managers at Poster Plan.
