In the past few years Luas commuters have seen some fantastic stand-out innovation on columns at stations and inside trams. During the month of May, Vodafone’s Cherry Points campaign created the opportunity for a media first for the format: a rotating special build placed on top of the 10ft high column in St. Stephen’s Green Station.

Combined with a full column wrap, the revolving cherry turned heads and provided an entertaining focus point for commuters during cycle 10, raising awareness of Vodafone’s Cherry Points rewards scheme for pay as you go customers. Luas passenger numbers have increased by 15% year on year*, and are set to grow even further with the red line extension to Citywest due to open later this summer.
