JCDecaux and Dublin City Council are delighted to announce that the phenomenally successful dublinbikes scheme has been selected as the initiative which has contributed most to ‘green living’ in the capital.
The Dublin Living Awards, in conjunction with Vodafone, Metro Herald and 98FM, took place last night in the Mansion House and were a fantastic showcase for the best that Dublin City has to offer.
The aim of the awards was to recognise and celebrate Dublin’s best businesses, services, places and people, and dublinbikes was among many deserving winners on the night.
This award is even more special to dublinbikes as it was voted for by members of the public, and comes hot on the heels of the results of Dublin City Council’s Your Dublin Your Voice survey, in which 95% of respondents felt that dublinbikes has had a positive impact on the city.
Joanne Grant, Managing Director of JCDecaux Ireland, says the company is extremely proud of what dublinbikes has achieved in the 2 years since it launched. “The Dublin Living award is particularly meaningful as it has been voted for by members of the public and is a real endorsement of how dublinbikes has become an integral part of life in our capital city.”
