The launch of the Lumiere Light Festival took place at a reception in the Titanic Building in Belfast last night. This year's spectacle is set to be the highlight (quite literally!) of Derry-Londonderry's year as UK City of Culture 2013 and JCDecaux are very proud to be an event sponsor. The action will take place over four winter nights, from 28th November to 1st December.
There will be a mix of artworks and inventions all made from light with many created especially for this event. The festival celebrates the myriad of ways that artists use the medium of light in their practice. Alongside established artists, Lumiere will include works by local up-and-coming artists.
